The Book Of Job
Naked I came from my mothers womb, and naked I will depart. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised (Job 1:21).
The book of Job is significant to both secular and non-secular groups as a pillar for many fundamental truths. The story of Jobs extensive amount of torment he faced, and persevered through, serves as a prime example for many to follow. Although the book is chiefly considered a model for Christian ethics, it has been explored by both secular and non-secular groups. Contrary to popular belief, the book of Job is not only about the Lords servant and the many ways he suffered. This essay will identify why many believe that this book is only concerned with Jobs sufferings, and in contradiction show that there is an abundance of issues within, with many lessons to be learned.
Job was a man with what the public viewed as a perfect life. He had a wife, seven sons, and three daughters. In addition to having a well rounded family, his wealth continued in his possessions that included seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, one
