Creation Vs Evolution Human Evolution Vs. Creation In the Catholic faith there are many things which can not be agreed on between science and scripture. One thing that is debated on alot is whether man evolved from a lower species, such as ape, or if man was created by God along with everything else as it says in the creation stories. As Catholics we are supposed to believe that everything in scripture is true or that it is an element of the truth. Some people find it hard to believe things without being given concrete evidence to back it up. This is going to give myself and the reader a better understanding on the issue of human evolution vs. the creation of man. “God created man in his image, in the divine image he created him; male and female he created them(Genesis 1:27).” This verses found in Catholic scripture has been what Catholics have been raised to believe for the past 2003 years. But what is really meant by this' Did God actually create man and woman as we are today or did he just spark the idea of life and let nature take its course' As Catholics, we believe that God is the sole creator of us; mind, body, and soul.
