Gita A person has the ability of determining his or her own destiny based on good and bad acts. Going through life, a person will perform certain actions of the mind and the body that result in good or bad consequences. In the Bhagavad-Gita, a person who gives up all actions that are not centered on the God Krishna, he or she will end up being reincarnated back into the world of living rather than reaching the infinite spirit that is above all existence. Krishna tells Arjuna, “actions imprison the world” (3. 9) What Krishna means by “imprison” is that unnecessary actions hinder men from reaching the infinite spirit.
