Exodus The Foundation Of Faith I remember the first time I was exposed to the book of Exodus. I was 10 years old. I learned of the Holy Bible in Bible school it was very exciting. To a child, stories are always the best part of school. The story of Moses and the Plagues, Moses and the Parting of the Red Sea, Moses and the Ten Commandments, and Moses and the Journey to Mt. Sinai were just a few of my favorites. It has been about twenty years since I’ve read or heard these stories an since then I have been exposed to many different points of view on the Old Testament. Documentaries on television, publications in magazines, the theory of evolution, and personal views from friends and family. My interpretation of the books of the Bible have changed over the years. I have come to the conclusion that the books of the Bible are fiction. The reason for this impression is the magnitude that these stories place on the complete picture of what really happened thousands of years ago. I have also come to the realization that religion is a matter of faith.
