9/11 At nine AM on September the 11th American Airlines flight 11, carrying eighty-one passengers and eleven crew members, slammed into the North Tower of the World Trade Center in the heart of New York City. About Fifteen minutes later, United States Airline flight 175 from Boston to Los Angeles with fifty-six passengers and nine crew members on board, crashed into the south tower. Both towers eventually collapsed. A half hour after the second crash, American Airlines flight 77, took off from Washington, D.C.’s Dulles Airport on route to Los Angeles, California carrying fifty-eight passengers and six crew members was rerouted and crashed into the Pentagon instead. Less than an hour after the third crash United Flight on route from Newark, New Jersey, to San Francisco crashed near Shanksville, Pennsylvania with thirty-eight passengers and seven crew aboard. It is believed that this plane was headed for the white house.(CNN) Huge chunks of debris falling from remains of the World Trade Center continued falling six hours after the crash.
