Poetry Apprecitation Throughout the centuries, writers have been producing poetry to get across a message, to tell a story, and to please the public. Mainly, people take a poem and analyze it for the meaning, for the actually story behind the words, but has anyone every really looked at the poetry writing its self, the assembly of words, and how in some way they end up with a hidden meaning. It’s not like everyone can go out and write a poem, look at such authors like D.H. Lawrence. He can take as little as 25 words and create a poem with as much meaning as a 3 page paper. “There is nothing to save, Now all is lost, but a tiny core of stillness in the heart Like the eye of a violet.” That was a poem from his book of complete works; the poem is called Nothing to Save. I guess because I can’t write poetry like that, I feel that my appreciate is greater. But then again, I also have a strong appreciation for people who can interpret poetry also. Looking at a poem is like looking at a painting or even something in a foreign language.
