John Keats John Keats was one of the great Romantic poets greatly known for the collection of poetry called the “Odes.” John Keats once wrote that “Poetry should be great and unobtrusive, a thing which enters into one’s soul, and does not startle it or amaze it with itself but with its subject.” John Keats rejected the Church and the pious frauds of practiced religion.
