Relativism Vs Absolutism Absolutism and Relativism Absolutism and relativism are two great moral approaches to reality. While they are both official and supported by facts, they are very different in their views. Values are what a person cares about and thinks is worthwhile. Usually these values are what provides the passion in a person\'s life, and gives them hope and a reason for living. A person might go to any lengths to protect what they feel is right and to preserve these values. There are two types of values; Absolute, which deals with usual ethics and according to absolutists there is, but one eternally true and valid moral code. And then there is relativism, which includes individual taste. Relativism stresses the idea that nothing is certain. There is not one law for one man or race of men, another for another. There is not one moral standard. There is but one law, one standard, one morality, for all men. And this standard, what is right is right and wrong is wrong.
