Politics: Plato Vs. Aristotle Politics: Plato vs. Aristotle First of all, to compare the two it will be a little long. Plato and Aristotle were both interested in politics. Plato was considered the first writer on political philosophy. Aristotle is considered the first political scientist. Both had ideas to improve the existing societies that they lived in. Plato’s philosophy was focused on a utopia society. Plato thought that if societies problems were settled and put to ease there would be an utopia society. Aristotle focused on not a perfect society but rather improving the society. Aristotle thought that society didn’t need a drastic reformation. Instead a perfect society, which he thought could not happen, instead he wanted to only improve the existing society. Plato’s utopia society consisted of three class systems. They were the working, the military, and the rulers. Each class had it’s own virtues.
