Philosophy Frustrations with Aramark I have been attending the University of Southern Maine for two years now. Within this time, I have stayed in the dorms, and have become in contact with many problems at the Gorham campus. One especially seems to be the food service called Aramark. One problem I seem to have with Aramark is the snack bar hours. They are very inconsistent on the weekends. On Saturday and Sunday, the snack bar does not open until 4:00pm. There is also only brunch on the weekends which runs from 11:00- 1:00. So if you miss that, then you cannot eat until 4:00 when the snack bar opens. It is especially an inconvenience when you do not have a vehicle on campus to go anywhere else to eat, or if you do not have food in your dorm room. This made me realize how much of a monopoly Aramark has on campus. Since they do in fact have a monopoly, one might think that they would be very flexible with their prices and policies. Instead, they take advantage of each and every student for the simple reason of making a profit for aramark, students, should, meal, feel, food, eat, card, snack, extra, bar, put, problem, pay, taken, seems, problems, one, frustrations, deal, cheese, being, about, until, time, student, social, security, realize, points, number, must, know, else, dinning
