Aristotle The first book that I decided to read is The Economics of Technological Change the author of this book is Edwin Mansfield. I thought this book would be interesting to read because it would be exciting to see the importance of technology in the economy, the way that it was measured and how it was used, as far as goods and services. Prior to reading the text I thought there would be much discussion of computers and they way that this technology has changed our way of life completely, whether it be in defense education or health. I imagined there would be discussion of the advancements in transportation technology. I began reading the book, as it discussed the atomic bomb and medical research from the fifties I realized that I had better check the copyright to see when it was written and unfortunately the book had become slightly outdated, with a copyright of 1968. I am a little disappointed that it was an older book but I decided that I would continue on with the reading and found that there was much information that was relevant with examining the current economy, in looking at change, book, technological, new, research, author, technology, product, advance, discussed, time, much, innovation, development, chapter, process, output, mansfield, management, interesting, firm, discussion, amount, about, written, way, technique, should, rate, order, measure, ideas, government, first, done
