Work Chapter 5: Ethical theory I think that Ethics, the systematic study of how we ought to act, both toward ourselves and to others are very important to everyone. The reason why I state that is because not everyone knows how to act properly. And I’m not talking about manners; I’m talking a lot deeper here. Lots of people in this world did not have a happy childhood. An abusive father, a careless mother, or no parents at all. The most important years of anyone’s life are their growing up years. Without being taught how to love, by giving and receiving, no one can put themselves in someone else’s shoes. And if you’re not able to do that, and understand that you’re hurting someone, you can create a great deal of pain. Also it creates a border and makes someone selfish and blind. Doing something for your own pleasure, not caring about anyone else’s feelings can scar someone for life (for example rape). Another realization is that this person doesn’t understand how wrong it is, how much the point is missed. While something can be enjoyed greatly including other people (for ex. people, live, someone, life, worse, work, theory, everyone, because, you’re, years, world, way, very, understand, through, talking, something, ones, money, love, lives, just, i’m, it’s, important, identity, gets, families, else’s, don’t, crisis, childhood, believe, being
