Titration Introduction In experiment 1 the number of milliliters of NaOH it took to make the KHP solution neutral was found. In experiment 2 the concentration of KHP in the two unknown solutions was found. Material & Methods This experiment involved titration of a NaOH solution into KHP solution. NaOH solution and the KHP solution were prepared. The NaOH was poured into a buret up to the 0 mark. Three 250mL Erlenmeyer flasks were then filled with 25mL of the KHP solution. The titration was preformed on all three and the results were recorded. This same experiment was preformed on two other samples of KHP which were an unknown concentration. One sample was diluted from its original crystal like form and another sample was crushed into a powder, weighed to about 0.7g and then diluted directly into the Erlenmeyer flask. Three titrations were done for each sample and the results were recorded. Results To find the correct milliliters of NaOH it took to make KHP neutral 3 titrations were done. This helps to obtain better accuracy and precision in the results. These results show the number of milliliters of NaOH that were titrated into the KHP solution.
