Numerous High School athletes in today’s society are using drugs to improve their athletic performance. However, High School athletes are unaware of the health risks, the social pressures, and ethical questions surrounding drug use. There is an abundant amount of ergogenic aids out on the market today that claim they will enhance the athletes’ sports performance. Ergogenic aids are substances or devices that enhance energy production, use or recovery and provide athletes with a competitive advantage.
