Advertisements Deception of Ads While going through a magazine called Maxim, I found three advertisements that caught my eye. Maxim is a magazine for men so a lot of the ads had to do with women. They mostly were advertising tools, clothes and colognes. What women have to do with these items I have no idea. We have all heard that sex sells, but I think some of these ads are taking it a step too far. My first ad that I found is for Jensen stereos. The reason for the ad is to help sell the product. What caught my eye was the color of the ad; it is a bright yellow color just like you would see at a stoplight, maybe to tell the reader to slow down and read this ad. The ad promises a desire to men by telling them that if you have this stereo in your Vehicle you will find the women who will want you. The ad has a woman lying on here side completely naked. That is not the end of here role.
