What is communication'
I define communication as the relaying of a message by two or multiple numbers of people. Within this relationship one person or several people are doing the relaying and the other or others are listening to and interpreting the message.
In order to have communication there are some fundamental characteristics that must be present. First, and probably most important, is having more than one person present to take part in the act of communicating. Although technically a person can talk to himself or herself, they are not communicating unless there are at least two parties present and actively involved in the communicating process. Secondly, someone must be attempting to relay a message. The message can be relayed either verbally, nonverbally, vocally, or nonvocally. Typical forms of communication include talking, singing, writing, sign language, languages that use pictures for meanings of words - hieroglyphs, making faces, hand gestures, body language, languages composed of sounds - Morse code, signs, and
