Sales Lead Program Proposal For Motivating & Increasing Participation of the Sales Lead Incentive Plan For United Parcel Service Problem The sales lead incentive plan awards program, introduced in 1993, provides opportunities for UPS employees to locate new sources of volume and be recognized for helping to grow the business. By looking for new volume opportunities and turning in sales leads that result in new sources of volume, UPS employees can play an even greater role in the success of the organization. The program enables every UPS employee to serve as the “eyes and ears” of the organization by finding ways to grow the core business. In return, UPS employees get rewarded for their efforts. Although this program exists, an overwhelming amount of UPS employees do not participate. This could be due to the fact that the employees are unaware of the benefits and how the program works. Methods and Procedures Since I believe that low employee participation is due to the fact that employees are unaware of the benefits and how the program works, I propose that I can motivate and increase participation of the sales lead incentive program through providing the necessary information.
