Interviewing Vs Interrogation
On friday, March 30, 1934 the state of Mississippi indicted three black males Ed Brown, Henry Shields and Yank Ellington, for the murder of a white male, Raymond Stewart. Before the indictment, all three men were the victims of a failed system of interrogation and interviewing, which ultimately lead to the ruling of guilty. Yank Ellington, was taken from his home without any regards for his own personal safety, and carried to the home of the deceased. The young man was met by and angry mob of southern white males, who upon the defendants arrival began to accuse him of the commission of the crime of murder. As the young man denied the accusations, he was annexed, and with the cooperation of the deputy they hung him with a rope from a tree limb insuring with all purposefulness not to kill Mr. Ellington, they let him down, only to be hung again. As the young man continued to declare his innocence, he was tied to a tree and tramtically whipped. Though the young man continu!
