Domestic Violence DOMESTIC VIOLENCE The Perpetrator Perpetrators of domestic violence are usually males. Questions should be raised, studies should be conducted as to why men are abusers of women. Recent studies have shown that abuse is now occurring among teenagers in our country, Is there something in these young men’s character or is their rearing at fault. Not all of these men come from an environment of domestic violence. To listen to young men talk about their relationships is scary. Their violent behavior can be heard most of the time by just taking a bus ride. They have the idea that women are like property. Theirs to do with as they please. The talk is scary and very upsetting. They have fonder feelings and more respect for their cars than they do for women. Most of the time these women have babies by these young men and even that doesn’t warrant any respect. Do these young men hate women because of something their mothers have done to them. Watch out for a man young or old who does not respect his mother. The make-up of most families today is mainly women and children.
