Gender Discrimination In The Workplace The Rainmaker was a movie that told the story of a young law student who takes a job part time to earn the money necessary to put himself through college, and ends up beginning a law firm with a partner, winning a huge case and of course he found love. The family that is suing Great Benefit Insurance Company has written eight letters to the firm all about the treatment and expenses needed necessary for their son to have a chance against the disease he is battling. However with no proof that having a bone marrow transplant will save their son, Great Benefit uses this as the reason for not paying the claim, because it is stated in the manual that no treatment will be covered unless it is proven to heal the patient. Meanwhile, Rudy (Matt Damon) is learning how to ‘chase ambulances’ and sign up clients by scrounging through the hospitals. After failing to find the joy in doing this, Rudy, after a little prodding from Danny Devito decides to start their own law firm.
