Since the beginning of times women and men have been seen as completely different humans that are born to do specific things. This opposition is even found in literary works and in TV shows and movies. One example of a literary work that shows this battle is “Rip Van Winkle” by Washington Irving. In this story, the wife is left with all the house work, while the husband is very lazy and the wife is always nagging at him.
