Childrens Sexual Behavior The American family has been thought to have tremendous power in regards to a child’s sexual behavior. In its healthy and well-functioning state, it should provide the framework for nurturing and growth and helps lay the foundation for the future generation. When the decision is made to have children, the parents embark on a journey filled with unexpected challenges, rewards, and disappointments. As children grow, parents are put in the sometimes uncomfortable position of needing to provide sexual education and guidance. Also, older siblings have a lot to do with their younger brothers and sisters views on sexuality. Now, is it a problem that an 8 year old is no longer a virgin' Depends on who you ask, but if you ask me, there’s something seriously wrong with that picture. When asked what he thought of it, his older brother replied, “That’s awesome, good for him, I wish I was like that at his age, I didn’t lose my virginity till I was 16.” When I heard this I was disgusted. I don’t even feel that it’s possible for an 8 year old to know what he’s doing.
