Many people are recognised today for leading a country to victory. The day that the people lead their country to victory is the day that is celebrated for many years later. A day in most countries that is celebrated for their victory is independence day. The French Independence is celebrated on May 30 of every year. This independence was fought in defense against the English in the early 1400s. A young courageous lady led France into a momentous victory at Orleans. Saint Joan of Arc was a simple, spiritual, peasant girl who led the French Army into a momentous victory during the Hundred Years War, eventually, being captured and burnt by the English.
Growing up Joan of Arc was confident, obedient, and had a soft, loving heart. Joan grew up on a farm with her family. Since Joans father was a farmer, she worked around the house doing all sort of dutiful works. She would do things such as weave, harvest, and tend the flocks.
