Letter For Migration In Australia (1901)
Hello my name is Alten Karaka, i'd like to migrate from my home country in South Africa to this great country that i have been hearing so much about. There are many reasons why i believe myself to be worthy of migrating
Poplate or Perish
At this stage of Australias life - Australia only had a population of 7 million and most countries could easily have wiped out this although large yet depopulated area. One of the main countries that were a threat to Australia was Japan as Australia continued to insult them with its current policy. Japan was an arrogant nation and saw themselves as far superiour to that of any other asian country in the world. Threats such as this and the ongoing possibility of a WWII would be an excellent reason for the need of more imigrants in Australia as the current population would not be able to populate fast enough to protect themselves in the near future.
Refugee (being persecuted in home country)
An immigratn could apply for a refugee status if he was being prosecuted in his home country, fleeing poverty, famine and or war. This would be a good excuse as if you were denied then
