War On Vieques The movie “War on Vieques” opened my eyes to a part of Puerto Rico in which I was unaware. I am glad I had the opportunity to view this movie in class as it opened my eyes to something I was wholly unaware. The developments over there came to me as shocking revelations, for it seems almost as if it were a scandal. First off, the island of Vieques is located in the Caribbean Ocean. It is located on the Eastern side of Puerto Rico. Since the early 1900’s, our very own U.S Navy has been occupying much of the island of Vieques. The U.S navy occupies this territory for their own selfish reasons, and it continues to be a problem. Technically the U.S is allowed to be in that territory as they do have the right with land, island, been, vieques, rico, puerto, years, unaware, territory, own, opened, occupying, navy, natives, movie, military, located, eyes, wholly, wherever, weapons, ways, way, war, view, very, toxic, toll, throughout, testing, taken, something, since, side, shocking
