Jews World War II started only 27 years after the first World War that was essentially supposed to end all wars. This War would last for six years, evolve more than two hundred countries, cost fifty million lives and have an effect on almost three quarters of the world’s population. However, the most demoralizing tragedy of this war was merely the world being blind to the numerous accounts of brutality and all the horrific deeds that were inflicted upon the Jews during this time. Most people believe today that it was only the Nazi regime that killed and viciously mistreated the Jews. I am going to tell you about a book called Neighbors which show how people of Poland called Poles imposed many indecent and appalling things to the Jews that they have lived with for many years. There are many reasons why the Poles of Jedwabne murdered all of the Jews in their town. On this tragic day in Jedwabne there were only seven Jews who were not violently killed.
