Theodore Roosevelt The war in Iraq and the war on terror rages on. Men and women from all over the United States have died, and are dying, for a cause that has been greatly under question by the American people, and countries all over the world. The one mainstay in this war on terror has been our President of the United States of America, George W. Bush. While many people have challenged his stand on world leadership, and his using the U.S. to fight the war on terror almost totally alone, he has not backed down. This type resilience has been displayed by Presidents in the past, but not by many. One name that comes to mind when thinking of Presidents standing tall and keeping with what they believe in is Theodore Roosevelt. Theodore Roosevelt (T.R.) was born in New York to a distinguished New York family. T.R. started out in politics as a state assembly man in 1880. Once his feet were wet in politics, his career took off.
