Egypt When most people mention Ancient Egypt the first thing that comes to mind is the Pyramids. To construct such monuments required a mastery of art, architecture and social organization that few cultures would ever rival. The pyramids are said to have built Egypt by being the force that knit together the kingdom's economy. Yet Pyramids are not the only things that are interesting about Egypt. Egypt is very diverse and has a large amount of interesting things that range from mummification to their complex religion. Their religion was the most fascinating thing to myself. It was very complex but also simple at the same time. Simple as in that it all had one goal, and that goal was to appease the gods so that the river Nile would flood and the crops would grow. They would always be sacrificing to one of their gods or praying to them. One of the most fascinating parts of their religion was mummification. Mummification would usher the Egyptian into the next life. They would even place their belongings with their dead body so that they would have them in their next life. The Pharaoh in Egypt was considered a god himself.
