Aparthied

Aparthied Aparthied was a form of racial segregation, used in South Africa from 1948 to 1990, which taught white supremacy and prejudice towards non-whites. But discrimination started long ago in South Africa, when the British settled there in 1795, and although the ratio of whites to non whites was roughly 1-9 they successfully passed many ridiculous laws forcing unreasonable expectations and stipulations on the native Africans. Some of these rules made it unlawful for them to spend more than 72 hours in a rural area, or that certain races were not allowed in certain places at all. Up until 1948 there had been an extreme amount of prejudice towards blacks but now these laws came into play. After this time more and more new laws came about, telling what jobs, and education the could and couldn’t have and a whole plethora of other rules and regulations that governed their lives. This segregation is comparable to the Aboriginal in Austria, who (like the South Africans) were made to live with few civil rights in the outskirts of towns into places called their so-called “homelands” of Banstuns with people of their own race.
