The Renaissance is defined as, the transitional movement in Europe between medieval and modern times marked by a humanistic revival of classical influence, expressed in a flowering of the arts and literature. Yet, this time was not only a rebirth of classical interests but also the birth of opportunities for those who were not represented as they could and should have been in the times previous to the 17th century. Such groups are groups are women and minorities, in fields such as arts and sciences. My personal interests led me to delve into the experiences of females in the Renaissance art world because the representation of women in society is a very important matter and deserves to be studied and focused upon. It is interesting seeing a groups progression through time and the womens achieving notoriety through art is an inspirational and beautiful thing.
Many myths about the invention of art describe the first artist to be a young maiden named Kora, but that is often denied, much like many of the impacts that women have had on the world. In Renaissance times much like in earliest days seen in myths, although there is no evidence
