Just Say No The DARE Program taught me I have the right to be drug-free and safe. If someone is telling me to use drugs, I just say "NO" ! Deputy Cotrill taught me different ways to handle peer pressure. I can ignore the person, avoid the places where drugs will be used, or I can also change the subject. I have learned that drugs can give you cancer, lung disease and gum disease. Drugs can even cause blackouts, poor memory, and slow reflexes. Drugs are not only marijuana, or pills. Alcohol, and cigarettes are also drugs. Some people use drugs because they want to get back at a parent, or need to feel "cool", or they don't feel good about themselves. I know I can stay drug-free because I don't need drugs to be "cool". Drugs will only ruin my future and stop me from being the person I want to be. Drugs don't solve problems, they make new ones. If I use drugs, I will do bad in school, and then I won't be able to go to college. If I can't go to college, then I can't be a veterinarian. I can not drink or do drugs because I might hurt dare, program, drugs, violence, because, people, program, need, someone, kids, hurt, drug-free, younger, very, think, taught, talk, stay, school, say, promise, problems, problem, person, peer, out, ones, one, older, might, learned, just, important, help, go, free
