Euthanasia

Euthanasia Euthanasia Currently in the United States, Euthanasia is illegal. “ Aside from the Oregon Law, euthanasia is illegal in the United States and is considered a form of homicide, even though the motive may be merciful rather than malevolent” [www.radiology.com]. I want to amend this law because I feel it should be available to those who request it. Euthanasia is the intentional killing of oneself usually due to severe illness and unbearable pain. Everyone is entitled to his/her rights and I feel one has the right to choose between life and death, which is provided for us by 14th Amendment. The Constitution cannot deprive anyone of life or death. I feel it is unconstitutional to take this right away from a citizen. Section 1. All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.
