Starting Early “Starting Early: Underage consumers” In reading “Starting Early,” A saw some things I agreed with and other things I completely disagreed with. First of all, I am fully aware of the rapid obesity rate in America but I don’t think it is fair to blame that rate all of fast food chains and other food companies. I do feel that they need to have some of the blame but not as much as this chapter made it out to have. I think one of the major factors of obesity is the child’s parents. When a child is younger, the parents have complete control over what there child is eating and the nutrition they consume. I feel that if parents allow their children to eat bad foods all of the time and their used to it, then that’s what their going to crave and want to eat. On the other hand, if parents cooked home-cooked meals and buy nutritional foods so that their children have to eat healthy, then they want be so prone to go out and get un-nutritional foods. Secondly, I do agree with the fact that marketers do tend to make eat, foods, parents, blame, rate, themselves, obesity, make, just, food, feel, children, child, think, things, thing, that’s, tend, starting, saw, people, over, out, one, obese, much, fast, early, control, commercials, chains, bad, again, in, younger
