Thousands of women and a growing number of men look in the mirror every single day and absolutely hate what they see. The phrase "Mirror, mirror on the wall" is a phrase that is used all the time that goes along eating disorders. I remember hearing it when I was younger in one of my favorite fairy tales called Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. I remember learning fairy tales are not real; that is the same like the image you see staring back at you in that mirror everyday is not real. However everyone who looks in the mirror always thinks that is how they appear to the world. When you look in the mirror, you are seeing what your body wants you to see; you are not seeing the real true picture of how you really look and how the world sees you.
