The backbone of todays American society is a direct result of the personal freedoms and liberations guaranteed by our nations Constitution. Although society as a whole faced many different issues and concerns during the creation of the Constitution than todays, the main reasons behind this documents creation are still the same reasons there is so much political uncertainty today. The creation of the Constitution was intended to define general and specific guidelines to bring about order in the United States. One of the largest motivating factors behind the Constitutional Convention was to create a strong, just political system. Federalists proposed that a reasonable balance of power, liberty, and order was essential to an effective and efficient government. Although current political culture strives for the same guarantees, the framers motives were drastically different. The framers of the Constitution placed a greater emphasis on equal representation in the national government as opposed to todays quest for leaders to be held accountable for their actions.
