One Family, Two Presidents One Family, Two Presidents In my essay I will be comparing the paths to presidency taken by both the 41st president of the United States, George Herbert Walker Bush with his son, the 43rd, and our current president, George W. Bush. George Herbert Walker Bush was born in Milton, Massachusetts and graduated from Philips Academy, in Andover, Massachusetts on his 18th birthday. That same day he enlisted in the Navy as Seaman 2nd Class. After his military service in World War II George Herbert attended Yale University and received a degree in economics. George W. Bush grew up in Midland and Houston, Texas and unlike his father immediately after high school he attended college and received a bachelor’s degree from Yale University and also a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. Similar to his father George W. Bush also has some military background as he served as an F-102 pilot for the Texas Air National Guard. Both men are married and have families with children.
