Democaracy Vs Totaliatarian Democracy and a Totalitarian government differ greatly. One form of democracy, known as representative democracy or republic, is the government to which we as Americans are familiar with today. In a republic people are free to express their will and opinions through elected representatives. If they feel the representative is not doing well with the task at hand the people have the e right to vote him or her out. In a republic such as the U.S we believe all men are created equal, no one better than the next. However in a totalitarian government, such as fascism, different ideas and beliefs are practiced. The leader is known as the dictator, one incapable of error. This dictator cannot be removed. It’s true that people can own property but they have no power to govern themselves. They are not allowed to express their will or opinion.
