War For Iraqi Freedom Is Justified Without UN Support War for Iraqi Freedom is Justified Without UN Support Many people and nations are opposed to the United States going to war with Iraq (going to war with Saddam Hussein and his regime, rather) without approval from the UN. Certain nations claim “peace” as an excuse for opposing the US. The truth is that their economic interests are at risk with a regime change in Iraq. These countries care nothing about the well-being of innocent people. Their only concern is their pocketbooks. France, Germany, and Russia have made deals with Saddam Hussein and would benefit if the US does not overthrow him. A war sanctioned by the UN would never happen because nations such as France and Germany would never approve action that is guaranteed to hurt their economies. Even though UN approval would make the war more politically correct, it does not mean that the war is unjust. These countries make such decisions in the UN and they influence others as well. It is ludicrous to expect the United States to only act if Saddam’s bedfellows approve, because it would never happen. Most educated arguments against a US attack on Iraq claim war, un, france, iraq, hussein, united, saddam, germany, oil, countries, states, without, weapons, security, regime, nations, iraqi, council, claim, attack, approval, never, going, because, support, sanctioned, people, peace, opponents, economic, certain, cannot, approve, after, years
