Syllogism Analysis Syllogism Analysis According to the syllogism concerning African Americans, who usually have an income below the national average, and who are advised to reduce their family size through the use of birth controls, insinuates that African Americans will have more money to spend if the above measures are put into place. However, this appears to be a stereotypical syllogism. If the Democratic Party were to address the National Black Caucuses with this scenario, in which they are asking the African American communities to use birth control as a way to reduce their family unit, thus increasing their income, the consequences would be great. Since so many African Americans are democrats, the Democratic Party could be setting themselves up for a disappointment. Some African Americans maybe offended by such a stereotype, since they are not the only ethnic group who has a national income below the national average. This type of campaign against one ethnic group singles them out and could be viewed as a form of prejudice, which ultimately could cause the Democratic Party to loose a lot of votes.
