Special Interest Groups Special interest groups play a big role in politics. Special Interest groups can be an official organization or non-official. Typically any group that is passionate about a certain topic is classified as a special interest group. These groups usually organized themselves around Economic Interest, Public Interest and Governmental Interests. These groups try to persuade people to believe what they believe. They try to accomplish this in a number of ways, including lobbying, elections, and protests. Lobbying is usually the most important thing to special interest groups. This is where someone who is in power to make things happen, can hear the concerns of the group. Interest Groups try to get close to people who are involved with law and bill passing. They Lobby the Congress, executive branch, and courts in an effort to make them heard.
