The problem most prevalent today is our ongoing dispute with Iraq. Over a year ago, we couldn’t get our minds off the tragic events of September 11th. The terrorists struck at the core of American life. It took that tragic event for us as Americans to start flying our flags again. What will it take for us to wake up and realize that the disintegration of the environment will lead to the total destruction of the earth' The United States should agree to the Kyoto Protocol. The evidence of global warming is astonishing. There can be dreadful effects to the Earth from global warming. The United States has a high emissions rate and it will not get any better without addressing the problem. With all the new technology of today, there has to be a more efficient way to use energy.
