It is the single pole in a unipolar system. The single pole addressed in this description of a hegemony is absolute, domineering, and is not expected to be answerable to those who are considered subservient to it. Its goal is not to lift others up, but rather to keep them down. The prospect of national interest would take a luminous role in how this single pole chooses to conduct its business, and as a result of its role, the business of others in the world. America’s assumption of the role as a global hegemony would not lead to a more benevolent world; rather, it would inevitably amount to the fostering of national resentment, and the incitement of an “international backlash” whilst recognizing that it could not prosper in the role of a benevolent power, because concerning that aspect the concept of global hegemony is flawed (2). When a country is in a globally favourable position economically, politically, and militarily, its people raise their voice in pride and worship of their efficient and trustworthy leaders. They talk of the procurement of hegemony, global, america, power, role, world, international, national, nation, benevolent, willing, one, human, countries, pursuit, prosperity, nations, military, itself, interest, very, status, single, security, rather, pole, people, own, over, influence, incite, country, citizens, cannot, because, american
