Hasty War Against Iraq- A Bad Decision Hasty war against Iraq- a bad decision Rushing into a war with Iraq is a bad idea for several reasons. First of all, an attack would mean the Muslim world would hate the U.S. even more than they already do. Second, Sadam Husein, the elected dictator of Iraq, would be more likely to attack America or other nations if he felt threatened by an imminent attack against him. Thirdly, there is no new evidence that Sadam poses a clear and present threat to the U.S. or other nations. Finally, the U.S. should attempt to attack Iraq without the help, cooperation and most importantly support of other countries. An attack on Iraq would anger Muslims. They would not understand the motives of the U.S., just seeing it as another part of America’s egotistical imperialism. Muslims already hate America. Some countries in the Middle East might support America’s war effort, wanting to stay on the winning side. Citizens of these Middle Eastern countries would generally side against the U.S. According to Rep.
