Supreme Court Case Could Void Right to Remain Silent.
This article appeared in the Miami Herald on Sunday November 24,2002. The Supreme Court in its famous Miranda ruling required police to respect the rights of people that are being questioned; this is the right to remain silent. Officers must make them aware of their rights and allow them to understand that they can refuse to talk.
