Cops Cops Schmops They have often been referred to as a “thin blue line” between order and anarchy. The duties of the police officer include the apprehension of criminal offenders, the resolution of community conflicts, the protection of society, and the promotion and preservation of civil order. In this paper I will cover such issues as who are cops, are they fair, necessary, and are they our friends or enemies' Cops are the egotistical power-craving people who patrol the streets in order to keep the peace. Cops have been earning a sour reputation since their beginning. Anytime a person is caught for convicting a crime of course he will be pissed, and mainly his anger will be focused on the moron who was smart enough to catch him. Cops do play an important role in our society. They are the people who put their lives on the line each time they step into the patrol car or put on the badge, but in a small community like Marshall, Minnesota cops very rarely or never will have their life in jeopardy. Cops in smaller towns get bored; therefore, they don’t need to worry about murder and burglary cops, order, good, been, people, out, law, apartment, society, one, officers, just, friends, without, very, time, thursday, though, streets, since, second, received, really, rather, put, protection, pleaded, phone, person, peace, patrol, paper, outside, one’s, ones
