Spatial Variations In Geo Enviornment, Case Study (TPOS). Year 13 Essay. Task 2. Spatial Variations Spatial Variations result in differences in elements that interact on coastal processes such as Coastal Erosion, Coastal Transportation, Coastal Deposition and some minor processes such as Tectonic Geologic, Biotic and Climatic Processes. These processes will be focused in detail relating to my Geographic Environment Tawrharnui Peninsula Omaha Sandspit (TPOS). The major processes evident at TPOS is Coastal Erosion, coastal Transportation and coastal deposition ; Spatial Variations is the differences in elements which affect the rate of these processes, coastal Morphology, wave type and wave energy, wind energy, geology and sediment type, biotic tectonic/geologic and climatic variations. Coastal Morphology is the shape and the structure of the shore line. The shape of the coastline varies so does Coastal Erosion. Erosion is most evident at the headlands; the wave cut platform of Anchor bay the eastern tip of TPOS, Wave refraction is caused around the head land and over time sea caves, arches and stacks are formed.
