The state’s nickname is The Granite State, because of the large amount of granite in the state. New Hampshire was admitted into the Union on June 21, 1788, it was the ninth state admitted. New Hampshire’s state bird is the Purple Finch which is a small but unusual bird. It’s name could fool you though, because the bird is really red. The state flower is the Purple Lilac, tree, the White Birch, song, Old New Hampshire, motto, Live Free or Die, and the climate is a quite rainy Human Continental Climate. The state’s economy includes agriculture, mining, fishing, and manufacturing.
