Kiribati Kiribati From the first day to the present day the Kiribati islands has been a warm tropical paradise. Such as cancoon and other islands along the equater. Kiribati has many traditions That make it what it is today. In the early 1800’s Kiribati was known as the gilbert islands and It was not inhabited by many people. The Kiribati Islands make up of (Bear with me while I give the name of the islands) Makin,Butartari, Marakei,Abaiang,Tarawa,Maiana,Kuria,Abemama,Nonouti,Arahuka,Tabiteuea,Beru, Niknuia,Onotoa,Tamana,Ororae, And Banaba. It wasn’t till 1830 that trade was Established on the gilbert islands and this is because Europeans began trading on the Coast’s of the islands. The people of these islands did not know what was out there besides There islands and the many things they had on it. So when traders came to trade they were Amazed at many things that they had brought. For ten years nothing but trading went on And life was at the same pace. But in the 1840’s whaling became very popular along there Coast’s and so the islands became some what of a home base for many whalers of Europe And many other countrys. They brought there guns and there lust for women and many Other things that the islanders did not have islands, things, trade, time, radio, kiribati, increased, trading, people, brought, became, years, women, whalers, very, traditions, today, technology, stuff, popular, nothing, news, new, mostly, make, islanders, island, hour, gilbert, coast’s, came, because, amazed, 1979, 1942
