Geography Essay In detail explain how the urban development in the Wyong Shire has had an impact on the natural environment. How have the Wyong Shire Council and other major agencies attempted to manage the impact of this development' Urban development has impacted on the natural environment in many various different ways. To try and better these impacts in which the expansions have produced, the council are undertaking many management strategies. A good example of this is the constructed wetlands at monarch hills, located on the central coast, north of the Wyong River. The urban development at Watanobi knoll has affected the runoff of water into the Porters creek wetland. From this also the surrounding houses that are being developed are trapping swamp wallabies in, and they are dying. The swamp wallabies are also being wiped out by domestic animals such as cats and dogs.
