It showed different Rastafarians around the world and how they felt about Haile Selassie. When the movie first started it said that Haile Selassie would be 100 if he were still living today. Haile was a hero to Africa but a God to most. Most of Haile Selassie followers felt that he is not dead and that he is their god. Haile Selassie died in 1974; Rastafarians believe that he is still alive today. They believe that their God will return to Earth and their God is Haile Selassie. Jah Rastafari is the Rastafarians symbol for god. Rastafarianism begins on a peace and love philosophy. Rastafarians all over the world have come to see his throne. Emperor Selassie was put into exile. After Haile Selassie was removed 60 of his high officials were executed. The day of Selassie’s birthday, the families of the 60 officials came to a memorial service in Ethiopia, even the parts of their families in the United States attend the service.
